Join us for an afternoon adventure in textile dip-dying! Los Angeles based artist and creative director of Rooster Home Goods, Sara Flate, will show you several dip-dye techniques. We will provide a silk pillow cover (with zipper closure) and pillow insert for everyone that registers. Additional supplies will be available for purchase the day of the event. Also, if you have something laying around that you'd like to experiment with, go ahead and bring it! Natural fibers only please (cottons, silks, etc.). Rubber gloves will be provided to protect your hands from the dye but please remember to wear your "play clothes" as the dyes will stain fabric.
We will be meeting at the Dunedin Fine Art Center's Cottage Campus (address listed below) from 1-4pm on Saturday, April 19th. Children are definitely welcome to this event as long as a parent or guardian is present to lend a helping hand (and there is a nearby playground for those less interested).
Light snacks, drinks, music and fun will definitely be provided. There is a limited number of spots available for this event so grab yours now!
PLEASE NOTE: You must register via this link to reserve a spot and materials. Cost and all details are listed here. http://www.dfac.org/classes/course-details.cfm?course_id=1652
